My Introduction

Although I do find an enjoyment in writing, I'm new to this whole blog thing. Enjoying to write doesn't mean I'm good at it, I just enjoy it. I find writing an escape to get your thoughts and feelings down. It's always better to release your thoughts instead of hold them in. That's beside the point. I'm Stephen. I'm 19 years old, and am a first year college student at a small university in West Virginia. I've always had an interest in sports, broadcasting, and really music. I was told before to maybe create a blog around sports, but as a person I'm much more than that. I always try to make others happy, and I will always put forth my best effort. Sometimes it may not be good enough in other's eyes, but I at least know I tried my best.

I played baseball my whole life, and was going to play in college. I ended up tearing my labrum my junior year of high school, and everything derailed from there. That's for another time to share that whole experience. I was a left handed pitcher, and baseball was my passion. It really helped clear my mind because I only had to focus on the batter, catcher, and umpire. I never had any worries when I threw. I lost that game, but every athlete has to hang it up eventually.

In high school I was apart of our Radio & TV program. The teachers I had there were some of the best people you could have as teachers, and carried my interest of broadcasting into college. I still stay in contact with the teacher who taught the TV portion of the class. The radio teacher in that class has a job with the local news station, and me and him would love to talk about sports. Those are two people I will always thank for everything they did.

Music has always been an escape. Whether it's an escape to heal from being upset, or to sit there and listen and reminisce on memories. I've always liked more mellow music that you can listen to and understand that the artist has an actual reason for making the songs. My favorite artists of all time is definitely Kid Cudi. Scott Mescudi is his real name, stage name of Kid Cudi. His music has so much meaning to it, and his old music is absolutely perfect in my mind. His songs have helped me immensely when I've been upset, or just what to reminisce. You know what does suck though? When the music you listen to has been shared with someone else you dearly admire and they aren't there anymore. Those songs and memories are totally different, but that's for another story.

I find myself to be a boring person honestly, but I have a lot to say. Every blog may be different. Some may pertain to personal issues, some may be talking about different sports, some just may be me rambling. Who knows if this will even work out. I'll try to keep this updated often. Just remember, I'm a college student so it could be hard at times. I'll try my best... because I always do.
